The mission of the KWF Dutch Cancer Society is encapsulated in our motto: “Against cancer. For life.” Nearly every person in the Netherlands will encounter cancer in some way, and its impact is profound. For over 75 years, KWF has been making a difference in millions of lives by not only investing in groundbreaking cancer research, but also striving to improve the quality of life for those living with it.

We achieve our research goals primarily by inviting researchers to submit their proposals through our annual calls. After a rigorous assessment process, the best projects are selected for funding. To ensure that we fund the best and most promising proposals, we rely on the collaboration and knowledge-sharing of numerous experts from all over the world and across a wide range of cancer-related topics, from medical treatments to quality-of-life improvements.

A critical component of our assessment process is the external review, where global experts provide unbiased feedback on the project proposals. Global Campus aids us by offering a pool of suggested reviewers.
