We are delighted to introduce Parviz as our new backend developer.
After graduating from TU Delft with a Master’s in Data Science, I wanted to tackle real-world engineering challenges. However, having published papers in AI conferences during my Master’s, I did not want to fully cut my ties with the world of academia. Global Campus was a perfect opportunity, because I get to do real-world engineering while still being involved in the world of academia.
Parviz's main responsibilities at Global Campus are backend and devops engineering, but he will also get involved in the ML/AI side of things. On a typical day, Parviz works on problems such as making the codebase more scalable and maintainable, fixing a new bug reported by one of the clients, or coding solutions to make the author matching more accurate.
Outside of work, his favorite hobbies are playing guitar and chess. Parviz also loves participating in team-based sport activities like football or padel.
